I used a deckle ruler to tear the edge of my painters tape then applied it as a mask to my panel. That way I didnÂ’t have to worry about where my coloring would stop or if I was over shooting my boundaries. For the sentiment, I colored a piece of card with SN, then stamped in black, THEN stamped in Versamark, embossing with clear powder. By doing that I donÂ’t need to have a ton of colored ep or even any ink (such as Versafine) to coordinate. I just stamp, stamp, and emboss!

You are a genius Ang. I never would have thought to colour cardstock with a marker....or any other medium for that matter. You taught me the two stamping trick a while ago and I love it!!! Your layout looks terrific, you are so creative my friend.

Totally love how you used the painters tape to add the spotlight to your card and great coloring too. Thank you so much for creating this for the Bugs Life challenge.

Oh, Ang, what a beautiful card, and I love how you've used the painter's tape! So clever, and I love that you used your alcohol marker for coloring card stock. I've done that when I just cannot find the right color (even with all the colored paper I have ha!). Beautifully done with your lovely butterfly, and it's such a wonderful "hello" card for anyone who needs a lift! Hugs, sweet friend! xoxo
