When I saw Carla's challenge I knew which stamp I wanted to use....that harlequin print of the jesters inspired me. I also wanted to try one of the faux techniques. I had done the faux patina before but this time instead of the typical blue-green shades I choose red-pink. I assembled "Shirley" out of 3 different Character Constructions stamps. And Carla believe it or not...I had a stamp that said "Surely you jest"...

Just marvelous, Polly! I love what you do with the Character Construction stamps, and your harlequin women is perfect for the challenge. The gold doily for a hat is so much fun and beautiful. The faux patina in pink/red tones is really rich, nicely done. A lucky teapotter will be tickled pink to receive this! Thanks for playing in my challenge.

Love the photo backdrop! Very clever, Polly. This is a very artistic, one of a kind card. Lots of details and the texture and just right sentiment make it so special.

Like the silk, this was another of the faux techniques heading up my list of possibles. It makes a fabulous background for Shirley. Love her feathers! And how cool that you had that sentiment stamp.

Polly, a wonderful and creative card for this challenge! Your faux patina bg looks amazing - I have only ever tried this technique once, remember loved doing it! Shirley looks fantastic in her harlequin patterned dress - the recipient will love getting this in the mail~

What a marvelous bg for your jester lady...love your paper doll constructed lady with her feathers and sequins hair dressing, gold doily halo, and lacy gloves! Quite the work of art, Polly!
