Snow Day #2 from yesterday morning's colouring session. This one is for a colleague who had to leave work just before Christmas as she's set for a long journey with chemo. I'm trying to send her cards regularly, and she was a good excuse to buy this fun stamp which I know she'll enjoy.
Image stamped on white card and coloured with Polychromos pencils. When I was upstairs in the afternoon I added Glossy Accents to all the beaks, the drinks glasses and one of the purses. SN clear glitter on some of the hairdos...Tiny half pearls for earrings on the third chick from the left. DH and I couldn't decided if the second chick from the left was meant to have an earring or a beauty spot, but when bling didn't look right as an earring, I took the beauty spot option. The panel is matted on black card.
Stamped the Judikins chickenwire on the DP, and as it didn't extend to fill the piece and wasn't easy to stamp a repeat, I added some washi tape on the top and bottom. The base just has a doodled frame directly drawn on it before I added the layer of DP. Sentiment from Best of Cluck punched out, layered on a gold circle and popped up on foam.
Snow Day #1 was uploaded yesterday and #5 is a future challenge sample, so it was a pretty productive day, and all bar the challenge sample will be in the mail tomorrow.

This is on my favs list for your snow day creations...i love those rich earthy tones with the black and white border. Such a great image with an adorable sentiment. There is no better pick me up when you are going through chemo than thoughtful cards from friends.

This is so much fun..the image, the details and that fabulous framing...the animal print washi tape is such a clever addition to the chicken wire bg. I think you had fun on your snow days...

You are sure to bring lots of smiles to your colleague Sabrina. What a fun card. I love everything about this, I keep scrolling back and seeing something I missed. Your borders ALWAYS inspire me to try new things.
