Mother's Day here is next Sunday, and with DH's motorbike still snowed into the back yard and one of his three busiest weeks of the year on the go, he's not likely to get out to see her before then - so I started making a mailable card last night and finished it off after work today.
Base layer - wrinkle free distress using twisted citron and broken china DOX inks.
When dry I sponged on white bokeh-like circles with white pigment ink, and used forest moss DOX to make a leafy monoprint with a stencil.
Added some shabby white chunky EP.
Today I stamped the French Foliage leaf in forest moss DOX, the HA script in wild honey DOX, and the French Foliage spatter in evergreen bough DOX.
Last night the TH butterfly was stamped on a scrap leftover from my buggy VSN mini card, a homemade shimmer spray painted onto card. I added a little colour with some Couleur D'Art pencils to bring out the markings.
For the rose, I sponged some card with DOX inks: forest moss for the leaves, wild honey and worn lipstick for the rose. I stamped the rose image and cut it out, then embossed the pieces and sponged over them again with more colour. I cut the frame from gold mirror card and added the coloured embossed pieces behind.
This morning before work I added a gold acrylic frame all round, and when I got home I decided to stamp a butterfly trail, so I used one of the flourishes in Beautiful Peacock, stamping with Encore Gold and embossing with Iridescent Ice. Added the Verve sentiment ( from Poppy Birthday) and finished it off with some Stickles on the paint border and a Glossy Accents dew drop on the roase.

Aghhhh no notifications! Sabrina this is so beautiful. I love your signature borders...ohhh how I have tried and failed LOL. Your background is so lovely, with so much to look at and take in. The flower and butterfly and another element of gorgeousness!!
