This card was designed for The Card Concept #87 Freshly Brewed Challenge using Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps What A Savior and Our Refuge.
The main panel in just one layer with masking, heat embossing and stenciling. I trimmed the panel and mounted it onto black cardstock before mounting onto the white card base. Not sure if that qualifies as a one layer but to me it does :-)
I am also participating in the following challenges:
Simon Says Monday "Grunge It Up" (a one layer version of grunge)
As You See It #169 "A Look Back" (my first craft tool was a heat gun and I still love to heat emboss)
Word Art Wednesday #322-#323 "Anything Goes"

Beautiful, Julie. That stenciling looks like it is a storm with God speaking through it and the flowers are gorgeous. I love this card!

Julie, this is such a precious Scripture verse, and I love your background that really is amazing. I love the stenciling and how the flowers truly pop with color! I think the verse "breaks through" the darkness in the background as a reminder that God is our refuge and strength. Love that...and love you and appreciate your prayers as I pray for you and Dave! Hugs and love! xoxo
