This is a panel for either a card or my art journal and started with a sheet of white cardstock being dabbed using a loo roll.
I'd done this technique before and wanted to create flowers, but after several daps...and an old and used loo roll, it wasn't happening. I didn't have time to wait for another roll so simply turned the roll over to the side that hadn't been cut and started to add rings.
I also wanted to create using the colours in this week's colour challenge and as there were challenges that required a bird or a dog, I stamped away and started to colour them all in using the colour challenge colours, albeit I had to improvise and use ones as close to the colours as possible.
Birds fussy cut, now what. As my flowers were too big for my panel, I decided I'd create a kind of nest for my birdie...well more like a coloured and textured blanket for it to sit on It was lacking something, so out came the stencils. I'd had some distress grit paste sitting in my stash for months and wanted to try it out, so on goes some of that, micro beads and as much texture as I could find. I'd read somewhere that egg shells added created wonderful texture and did seem appropriate but I was out of those today
The birdie still was looking lonely, when I spied a TH stencil I hadn't used. Trees added with paste but still not right, so I'm now colouring it all in and creating quite a mess Bubble wrap out and dots added, more water sprayed, dried, sprayed and it sort of was ok but boy this wasn't CAS.
Bakers twine added underneath the birdie, sentiment stamped and added and big birdie plopped on.
Although not a CAS panel, I did enjoy the challenge and for now it will stay as it is and until I can find a use for it.
TFL and happy day
PS: Those micro beads get everywhere...I glued them on and still they fell off

ah, I bet that would be fun to mix them too, the fringe prints with the circles. good idea. ( I had thought I was going to read that you had fringed the other end of the roll haha)

Thank you everyone for your kind comments. I'm afraid the little birdies will be changing as when I look at it, I'm not happy with it. I will repost if I end up with something new. Thank you again for your support and lovely comments. It makes me keep going and trying new things, albeit they don't always come out as intended. Happy day
