Michele (Michelerey) is the Featured Stamper this week. Congratulations, Michele, you are a beautiful, full gallery! I selected this bright and cheerful card as my inspiration: Build a Birthday Cherry on Top Candles by Michelerey at Splitcoaststampers I like the bright, cheerful colors, it is a happy birthday card indeed!
I kept the three candles and the colorful insert but changed it to a curved insert from diagonal though I love diagonal lines on a card. I used some of the same dsp but only one kind going across the bottom of the card. And, using the curved border enabled me to move my sentiment below the borders.
I hand drew and colored my candle flames because my candle flame stamp was too big for these candles. The yellow candle is from the Cherry on Top dsp but the other two are washi tape from my daughter's collection of washi tape. I heat embossed the sentiment for some sparkle and that is it.
Enjoy your week, Michele, and congratulations!
Thanks for looking!

Well I guess that is one way you can look at it - when you are old (like I am!). This is really cute, I love the space you made on the card and the candles are really cute and the paper sweet!!

What a fun, celebratory card this is Catherine! And what a great use of washi tape too! I am super impressed that you hand drew these wonderful candle flames so they were sized correctly. The curved border looks fantastic and highlights these colorful candles perfectly! ~Karen.
