This card was made for a weekly challenge (resist emboss). As I had the stamp sitting on my table which I'd used for a previous challenge, and was still in a blue mood, it came in handy and for other challenges.
I originally started embossing with clear powder and after heating it up I realised I'd made a boo boo. Undeterred, I carried on inking it up with shades of blues and purples. Found that I'd totally covered the image up and not even baby wipes or cloths was going to move this ink. Decided I'd throw it in my stash and will use it as a bg or make a tag when needed...waste not, want not my motto this year and especially as I'm also in the S2S challenge
2nd time I emboss with white powder....much better. I opted to sponge with only 2 TH distress inks going from light to dark as I'd seen lots of talented ladies do in many videos previously.
It looked ok when I spotted that I hadn't stamped so well and at the bottom of the card were 2 blotches with nothing but white emboss powder. Sometimes big stamps are tricky and especially when they don't fit in my Misti.
Ok, trying not to panic I spotted the blue washi tape used on the last card I'd made. Perfect although lining up got a bit tricky and even when using a ruler....I'd seen this trick before..., but somehow I manage to get the tape stuck on the ruler and when I give up and peel it off and stick it down by hand it's a little wonky. Hey I can do wonky but I could still see the blotches....time for another strip, minus the ruler technique
It was at this stage I realised I didn't have a sentiment on the card although I'd stamped Feel Better inside. I'd also stamped swirls inside and on the envelope. Not to mention dropping the small TH ink pad on the paper first, but it gave a pretty cool effect after stamping on top of it...must remember that for future projects
I stamped and cut out labels but it didn't look quite right when I remembered Pintrest and hadn't Jennifer McGuire used this stamp once. Quick check on You Tube and I followed one of her styles...well not exactly but she did a circle on one in the middle so it's close....stamped, die cut and bling added.
Gosh the emboss resist was the easiest part LOL. All in all it only took me about 1.5 hrs!
I do like blue cards and whoever gets this when they are feeling down (or blue) may see the funny side and hopefully like it too.
TFL. Happy day

I love this. Beautiful design on the image, beautiful colors, beautiful save on the washi tape, and the sentiment design is genius. Lovely card!!!
