I created this card for the Cards for Little Hearts card drive going on this month. The theme is "thinking of you" cards for kids for Heart Month in February. I got my inspiration from this card that I found through Pinterest. I liked the overall design & punch art.
I used a heart punch for the fishes' bodies, and a heart die for the tails & the larger accent hearts. After punching/die cutting my hearts, I adhered them all to white cardstock. I fussy cut around them, leaving a tiny white border. This was especially necessary on the fish-tail hearts, to keep them from visually blending into the bodies.
After I glued my fish together, I adhered them and the 2 larger accent hearts to a panel of grey cardstock that I'd cut to 6.75x4.75". I die cut another little heart from pink felt, using one of the dies from the "All Inside" coordinating die set. I glued that between the fish. I stamped the greeting below the fish, and stamped several bubbles, to reinforce the idea that these are indeed fish. Finally, I added googly eyes, and adhered my panel to a white card base.
