Today's TLC is to make a black & white card (it was also TLC84's challenge). I love black & white cards. I also did TLC665 crayon rubbed embossing for my background panel. The tutorial for this technique is here: Crayon Rubbed Embossing Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers
After following the tutorial for the background panel (I don't remember when I last used my brayer!), I cut the Botanical builder pieces, heat embossed the sentiment, and assembled the card.
I think I need more practice at the crayon rubbed embossing. It was fun to do.
Thanks for looking!

This is so elegant and so classy Catherine. I love this crayon resist bg you did, and thank you for sharing the tutorial on how to do this too! You achieved wonderful results with it! I see lots of sparkle on the black flower petals and that is so eye catching in your white flower cluster. I love how this cluster grounds your sentiment banner too. ~Karen.

A beautiful card. Love the texture that background adds.

I love the background. I thought it was that sanded paper at first. can't even think of what it's called, but you know what I mean. It's great and a wonderful background for your pretty flower!

The flower detail is beautiful, but the soft swirling look of your background is mesmerising. It makes me think of old weathered carved stonework, even though the colour is wrong for stone.
