The moment I saw this color challenge, I was concerned. With a few days off from work over the holidays, one of my goals was to actually spend some time stamping and complete a few of the current SCS challenges. I typically don't work with this many bright colors all at once! But a few minutes into my card planning, and I had a great idea... Why not use a set that is traditionally a Christmas set, but make it a winter-themed happy card? I needed to make a few thinking of you/sending happy thoughts sort of cards for a couple of dear ladies who had some challenges this Christmas, and this turned out PERFECT - the colors are just the sort of cheerful I want to send to them (and they're already waiting patiently in the mailbox to head their way!).
Alas, I didn't have any of the three exact color specified for this color challenge, so I subbed with the next closest colors that I and I'm lucky enough to have in my collection: in place of Melon Mambo, I used Pink Passion. For Bermuda Bay, I used the Emerald Envy Ombre pad I ordered recently. And for the Tangerine Tango color, I used my Hero Arts ombre pad in Butter Bar to Orange Soda. :-) This was a super fun color challenge! Thank you so much to the hostess for the inspiration!
Here is the prayer I found that was just perfect for one of the ladies, so I included it on the inside with a Scripture I think will speak to her, on top of some ghost stamped green mittens and a pretty mitten stitching orange detail across the bottom with another stamp in the Mitten set:
"I pray that you would know you are not ordinary but so very special, because God made you that way. He made you to be one of a kind and blessed you with so many talents to bless this world with. I pray you allow him to mold you and make you into who you really are in Christ. Amen."
Thank you so kindly for viewing my card and taking the time to read the method behind the madness! :0) ♡
Blessings,
C
