The Friday Free For All Challenge, F4A406 Into the Woods We Go 12/1/17, was to include something wood on your project. I love anything wood, so I quickly popped together this card featuring 2 wood elements - the Woodgrain textured CS for the base of the card and the pine sprigs in the mitten.
I was happy to discover most of the parts for this card in my “possibles” Box - that’s where I toss bits & pieces leftover from other projects. The mitten was made from a very old punch by Emaginations. It can be persnickety to use, but cooperated after I found flimsy weight cs. Yet another reason I love my dies!!!!! I thought that the mitten needed To look knitted, so I used different sections of the same knitted design EF to get a couple of different sized textures. To make the embossing more noticeable, I lightly sponged white ink on the red portion.
For a touch of glitz, I added a couple of wraps of SU skinny silver metallic thread in the pine sprigs and under the sentiment.
Thanks so much for peeking at my Warm Mitten Hello. Wishing you a warm and wonderful winter season!
