I thought it would be nice if my dad's dog "sent" a Christmas card to my sister who took him in when Dad had to move into care, and to his doggy "cousins" - he's definitely the bottom of the pack but as they are both black labs, he has the benefit of being small enough to get up on the sofas and chairs which they don't. I wasn't going to get into trying to colour any of these dogs black!! He used to go in and visit my dad twice a week - and apparently the staff used to give him warm tea to drink in a saucer. They also gave my dad a stuffed toy dog quite soon after he moved in, after seeing how much his own dog meant to him.
Image stamped in Smokey Grey on white card and coloured. I sponged it while in the die. Stitched and sponged the base, then framed the image with ivy and added the sentiment banner.

Lovely idea - from your Dad's dog! This is a sweet card, and you've colored the image beautifully as usual. I enjoy your descriptions, Sabrina, you make it sound so easy and obvious, yet I can see how many steps it takes to get to a finished "Sabrina" card!

Ditto what Robin and Kathy said. I read your story before I saw the card, both are equally lovely Sabrina. The layout of your card is brilliant, the background looks so realistic. The ivy is gorgeous and your colouring is, as always, fabulous. The stitching is the icing on the cake! Perfection on paper my dear friend and thank you for sharing your dads story with us.
