This is my sample (one of them - I'm still working on something else!) for this week's WTUI challenge, which you can find HERE.
I remember when this Crimped Diamond tutorial was posted. I really wanted to try it, but the crimper I had at the time would barely crimp a single sheet of copy paper, never mind cardstock folder over. Fast forward to early this year and I included a new crimper as part of my Moddy Christmas gift from Amazon. Thank you to all who contribute to supporting the many volunteers who work behind the scenes.
I added the twine because I had a different centre in mind, but it wasn't coming together. So then I stamped the bird and coloured him in colours that would at least pick up on the twine. I used the crimped diamond as a template to get the shape for the centre, then trimmed it down and distressed the edges. The edges of the crimped panel were sponged for a little extra definition.

Sabrina, what a great tutorial to feature on your card! The diamond-shaped crimping looks wonderful as the background for the gorgeous bird! I love how you framed it with the twine! Great card!
