When I saw the challenge I thought of painting because of the word canvas. But there is more than one way to paint a canvas. Sometimes we can paint it with words or song. Thinking along those lines made me think of this stamp. I haven't used it forever so I thought I'd give it some love. I had never heard of a Dickcissel before but his lovely colors fit the patterns on the stamp. I colored all the stamp parts with markers, spritzed a fine mist of water and stamped. I used a sketch from a while back #328.

This is lovely Pat..the colors work so well for this bird. That out of the box sunflower is a great detail. A gorgeous card inspired by the Thoreau quote.

Nicely inspired! The bird and sunflower are beautifully colored, like a painting. I like how you cut around the sunflower. Love the layered paper and wood-grain background. Well done! TFS
