When I found my first inspiration from today's site Agraria San Francisco, I also saw the beautiful packaging for the diffuser I had chosen. I loved the look of the blue, gold and white against the bright yellow. I went into my stash of retired paper for this Summer Sun base. I diecut both Indigo and White Lattices and cut the blue one in half. I then glued it onto the edge of my Summer Sun base. I inlaid the white pieces. Because I had positioned the top and bottom of the diecut in the vertical strip, it created a larger space than the diecut piece that is the center of the lattice pieces. So, I took a Sharpie paint pen and created a little puddle of ink and used a paintbrush to color the gold in these spaces and to the left of them and then fit the smaller white centers over that. I decided that I wanted an Indigo base so I cut the Summer Sun down into a card front. I stamped my sentiments onto a white square and cut another square 1/4" smaller on each side to use as a mask. I then used the gold pen to paint the gilded edge. I had the blue inside pieces from the Lattice so I formed flowers from those using 1/4" circles as centers.
