I had insomnia last night - woke up and was obsessing about my mom (who recently passed away)... and card making. Rarely is insomnia so productive. I woke up and just started working on cards through the night.
This is for one of the Falliday challenges to use the word blessed on a Thanksgiving card. The colors are not super traditional, but they work.
The stamp is from a Paisley set - and I thought for sure this card was going to be a Joseph's Coat technique in fall colors and featuring this stamp. Funny where the muse demands us to go.
I am working with new SU! product - Graceful garden stamps and Petal garden memories pack and dsp. I love, love love it.
The scraps are leftovers from a fund raiser I held for my very dear friend a few months back. It was a beautiful day - 175 people came and made cards and said goodbye to sweet Betsy.
There were a LOT of leftover supplies. So I am teaching an I love Roses! card making class next week. These cards are practice/prototypes/demo cards for the event. You will notice the same scraps across a couple of cards - the Sweet Sugarplum and Whisper White layers, with the little ribbon tab.
It's cool how the same "scraps" can make such a different look.
I didn't realize the butterfly was retired but I am using him anyway. I have many of them - they were done with the shaving cream technique and reinkers.
Thanks for looking.
