When I think of the 70s I remember all the flowers and how the clothes were wild with patterns..you could mix stripes with dots and it wasn't considered weird. I stenciled the bg using various designs and distress oxide inks. I then watercolored some flowers and cut them out. I had applied some masking fluid to parts of the flowers to give it a modern feel...so those white parts are intentional I added some liquid dots around my flowers and that's it...it is kind of wild....

Great card! I remember having a chartreuse coat when living in SF! And the colors were wild! Even my hippie clothes were colorful! TFS wild card! Love it.

I think my sister had one if those plastic flower makers! This card with it's wild background and flower power is perfect for bringing back the '70's : )

What free spirits we were 'back in the day' . . . . mixing patterns and the colors - OH MY - your card brings to mind a linen suit I made - it was Neon green embroidered all over with little neon orange flowers ( I wore it with orange pumps!) This card is a wonderful tribute to the 70's with the fun mix of colors & patterns and of course the requisite wild flowers.

You captured the 70's style perfectly! You not only had the bold, bright flowers, but your stenciling harkens back to th batik prints that were all the rage at that time in fabrics. So fun! TFS

I laughed at your comment about mixing patterns and not being wierd! You're so right and quite frankly all the patterns & colors are eye catching and exude carefree happiness! Love your fun colors & design!!
