This week's featured stamper is Chris Smith. Chris has a lovely gallery filled with beautiful cards making it hard to choose. I finally selected this one: Sympathy Rose by inkpad at Splitcoaststampers
I kept it quite similar except changed it to a birthday card and painted a brighter rose. I wanted to try no line watercoloring so I stamped the image with Antique Linen distress ink and then used the two colors of roses and greens to paint my rose. Once I was finished with the rose and leaves, I did an outline around it with Soft Sky.
The sheer ribbon is a scrap but it does have a hint of blue in it. I stamped the frame and then stamped the sentiment inside it, clear embossing the sentiment, then I fussy cut that. As a final touch, I added the three clear Nuvo drops.
Thanks for looking!

Oh Catherine, what a gorgeous sympathy card this is! Wow! Your rose is so beautifully watercolored in this gorgeous rose pink color. I love how you kept the rest of the card soft in keeping with Chris's lovely inspiration card. ~Karen.
