If you tour my gallery you’ll know I love to make night scenes so here’s another one using some new stamps I got on sale. The only way to buy!
I first stamped the images starting with the building then the lake and background trees ending with the trees to the left which is the other side of the stamp I started with. Using portions of the building stamp I put in grass and also using some SU scenery sets to finish off the look. I colored in the images using aqua painter and pad ink. There is just a hint of the color in real life which is what I want for a night scene.
The moon glare on the rock and lake is created with a pointed cotton swab and VersaMark reinker. The moon is a hand cut circle of scrap rubber also done the same way but…it didn’t work!!! So after I applied the Night of Navy with the brayer I used the same method as the rock and lake glare on the tree tops then stamped with white StazOn and created my moon that way. When one technique fails…try another one! Also when the brayer work was finished it looked darker than I wanted so I took a wet wipe and swiped it over the panel to lighten it up.
The leaves are plastic charms held on with Diamond Glaze, they are actually dark green and odd olive in color but the scan saw them another way!
I made a couple of these and plan to send one off to Keiki for the teen boys.
