This is the card I made for Jan's fun "Calling all Ladybirds" tickle a teapotter challenge. As you can see, I used one of my bubble wrap backgrounds from when I was making samples for yesterday's TLC challenge.
I have to go to the optician this morning because my glasses frames broke when we were on holidays, and I'm working in the afternoon so I'll fill in some of the details in the fields later this evening. But anyway, the background was done with Brusho powders.
The image is Penny Black, stamped with Versafine Black on white Bristol board and coloured with Couleur d'Art pencils. There's Glossy Accents on the ladybirds. Matted on red card with black stitching lines.
I sponged the card base red and added lots of black dots. Foliage die is Cheery Lynn, and the ladybird die-cuts are Elizabeth Crafts. The red part is cut from an old book page sponged with red ink - I'll add a close-up shot of them in the challenge thread.

Love this! Great layout and very cool how you tied it all together with the dots and lines on the two red layers and the dots on the ladybugs. Really draws the eye in.

The lady bugs remind me of a storybook my boys loved when they were little. I think it was by Richard Scarry, but on each page they were to locate goldbug. This is filled with adorable ladybugs!

LOVE this. The textures, the colors, the movement and all the borders. Your ladybugs have got it all going on, too. Then you see the little ladybugs taking in the glorious summer day. Delightful creation.
