TLC647- DIY Plaid hosted by Sabrina
CAS438- Christmas in July hosted by Misti
I drew the Plaid in 3 colors in a diagonal pattern for my background. I had too much coffee this morning and got a little shaky in some areas, but I think it adds to the whimsy.
Punched out the deer image and placed polka dot paper behind it, revealing a small mat of red on the sides of center panel.
Stamped the sentiment and finished with a mini red gem for the nose.
I'm really behind on my Christmas cards and also made a second card.

It's very hard to keep straight with those lines, even without too much coffee! I think I threw my first three attempts in the bin when I was making my sample. I knew this technique would be great for Christmas - looks as if it fell serendipitously with the CAS challenge this morning. That polka-dotted deer is so sweet.

That's a lot of lines on your plaid. I love how it turned out. Your spotted deer is great and leaving the red mat really enhanced the design! A very Merry Card!
