I had tons of fun creating this beach scene using an older SU! set as well as some newer dies from MFT. When I started this card, I intended to use the MFT Beach Scene builder die, that I thought I had purchased - - but I couldn't find it in my stash! Erghh... Not to be deterred, I made my own shoreline with a rectangle die cut in two pieces using the safari horizon die. That worked. As I was nearing the end of making the card, didn't I find that MFT die !@#$! So I was able to cut the sun and palm tree using it. The little guy, all ready for swimming or some more fun in the sand, is colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut. I used white cardstock and Distress ink to create the sand and sea. I was pleased with myself, that I remembered I had a sand dune stamp by Art Tartz and used that on the edge, rather than hand-dot with a copic marker. I also cut the palm tree and sun from white cardstock then colored it with copic markers. I'm half tempted to smear some suntan lotion on the base...so that the recipient really gets a whiff of the seashore and can just envision the fun in the sun!
