TLC642 introduced me to a sanded pencil background technique.
CAS433 we were to make a card in the colors of our flag - though my blue isn't really dark enough for the field of blue on the US flag.
The sanded pencil technique was fun and new to me. After making the background, I punched stars from white glitter paper as well as die cut the sentiment from the same paper.
It was a fun card to make and I like how it turned out.
Thanks for looking!

I thought about doing the technique for the CAS card as well but I had already started something else. This turned out fabulous! I love how the speckles of color are subtle in most of this and then in parts really give a burst of brighter color!
This is really a great design!

Oh interesting and what a fabulous card to rep our flag that we wave so proudly and our Ohana and many fight for and salute. Makes me think of my grandson. Mahalo and great job sis Cathrine. Going to have try this technique.
