Today Jeanne challenged to make a beachy card. Funny thing is, I struggle with the challenges that are too broad. What to do? I decided that I wanted to use this lovely Sassy Cheryl digi, so I went on Pinterest looking for a good sentiment to pair with it. But I still couldn't decide what to do with it, so I went to the new Tic Tac Toe Challenge that Roberta "stampin' nana" had linked to and I chose the right hand column of gold black and baker's twine. Then I checked out some old Sketch Challenges and came up with SC383. That's when my card finally started to come together. Phew! Well after all that--I love it. My mother-in-law's birthday is coming up in July and it is pretty much the perfect card for her.

We start with the germ of an idea - put it into a melting pot - let it simmer for a while and out comes the loveliest stew all blended together! Your scene is beautifully colored and the gold glitter strip is akin to glistening sand.

What a fun place to be led to! Love the little gal image and super coloring! Pretty gold layer and twine with gold~ I do the same thing as you when making a card, Jen. Sometimes it comes easily and other times it doesn't come at all!

I sometimes have days like that, where I just can't figure out where to go for a card! You surely ended up with an outstanding end product! That sweet girl is a beautiful image and I really love the sentiment you created - wish I was better at figuring out how to do that on a card! Love the twine and punched, stitched circle, and that strip of glittery paper is perfect.
