I'm this week's WTUI Hostess and it's time to Fix it With Duct Tape! Hope you'll play along.
This is for my DH, my handyman and sweetheart! He loves cards with special folds and details, so I chose the Z Box Pop-Up. I made the base card from black CS. Sanded blue CS, stamped, embossed and fussy cut pocket, trimmed panel to fit and used gel pen for stitches. Adhered the panel to the front. I placed the duct tape on CS for stability, embossed and trimmed down to individual rulers. Stuck one in the pocket and used the larger ruler for the Z fold. Die cut tools from duct tape and colored handles with alcohol markers. Debossed kraft paper to mimic peg board and adhered to card interior. Added tools. Stamped main sentiment panel, fussy cut and used foam tape to pop up over tools. Followed tutorial for pop-up support. Stamped couple, colored, fussy cut and adhered to back section. Stamped sentiment on wood grain and adhered to mid section. Cut toolbox from wood grain and added tools to complete. Took almost as long to describe this as make it! TFL

Fantastic card, Carla! You spent some time on creating so many wonderful details, especially all the tools on the pegboard bg and the wood toolbox. I'm really enamored with the couple locking arms like they were still young lovebirds, too.

Oh my goodness Carla this card is incredible. I really loved the challenge today. Your card is sweet and incredible at the same time. The couple is so perfect for a card to give to your DH. Your pop up elements all work perfect and the pocket and rulers with the duct tape finish off the amazing pop up card to perfection. Thanks for such a fun challenge today.

Holy cow, Carla, this is AMAZING! I particularly like the embossed pegboard with all the tools. Very very clever. I just can't get enough of this. Every time I look at it I see something new. Your DH is sure to appreciate this labor of love!
