Inspired by Pat mentioning making several snowflake backgrounds for her TLC card this week (and having uploaded a gorgeous card), I snatched a little time this afternoon to try a snowy background myself.
One of these is glossy card, one is plain. I used a combination of broken china, tumbled glass and chipped sapphire for my sponging.
I trimmed the panels down a little so that I could mount them on white bases. Edged the top and sides with Versamark and silver EP. White acrylic snow along the bottom, and an edging of silver Stickles.
The snowmen are rescued from a square panel which I had stamped and coloured and then it sat on my desk and got a smudge on it. Fussy-cutting them gave me two cards instead of one; they were perfect for adding to my wax paper emboss resist backgrounds. They had been coloured with pencils, probably Polychromos, and have Liquid Pearls for their buttons.
The TLC, with a link to the tutorial in the first post, can be found HERE.

Oh my goodness Sabrina, these are adorable! I love your snowmen images with their musical instruments and that silver embossing around the edge is fabulous!
