WOW, hard to believe this is the 600th Inspiration challenge.
Today we get our inspiration from a Tim Holtz Pinterest Board. OMG, talk about inspiration. I didn't choose any one pin, but made my own using my new Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks. I used 4 colors on this tag. The first was Fired Brick, and I smooshed that one on. The rest were sponged on here and there.
Very interesting inks, the dry texture is sort of like chalk board paint.
I stenciled the vines going up to somewhat resemble flames. It's hot here.
If I lived in Arizona, this could be a state themed card, but I live in Southwestern Utah. The Arizona border is maybe 10 miles due south, so we are in the desert. Heat is my theme, especially since we have reached the point where our day time temps will be in the high 90s to 100s. It's going to be like this for about 3 months.
I almost decided to use the stenciled cardbase for another project, it turned out really good. Too bad I covered it up. Oh well...
Though the cactus here has flowers, the cactus around here has already bloomed. See my avatar photo, that's a cactus in bloom. Anyhow...

Wow, Jennifer!! The blue and gold background is gorgeous as is the tag! I love the sun charm, which pulls all the elements together! The cactus die cut is fantastic! Great card!!
