This is my first card for the sketch challenge and my second card for the technique challenge.
I suddenly had an over whelming desire to try out the technique challenge with one of my favourite colour combos dating back to when I was a teenager in the early 60's and my aunt made me a Moo Moo dress that was chocolate brown, emerald green with a touch of mustard yellow. I loved that dress and have loved those colours ever since.
I used the smooth side of the watercolour paper first spritzing it very lightly with water from a mini mister.
I also cut two of my old cards down the centre one horizontally and one vertically, this gave me smaller edges to work with and more flexibility regarding the swipes.
I attached the background die with PVA glue and also put a couple of drops behind the greeting on the vellum so that it wouldn't show through....and that 's all folks.
Cheers
Marg

Fabulous color combo. Like Jen, I wouldn't have thought of it myself, but it looks terrific. Well done with the ink technique. Love the lattice background. The embossing adds a wonderful shine. Outstanding take on the sketch. TFS

Beautiful color combo! I love how the TLC worked with these colors, you used a light hand as the colors didn't muddy, kudos for that! The mustard flowers out front shine even more with the added layer of clear ep! Beautiful!

Well done. I like how the larger panel has a good bit of white in it while the smaller is almost inked over -- it kind of looks like coordinating papers rahter than one piece cut in two. Adding clear embossing on the flowers looks great.
