This card is for BarbaraÂ’s colour challenge for this week and what amazing colours these are, so feminine and lushes.
My background is a Wild Wasabi watercolour wash using the SU re-inker for the wash then once this was dry I splattered the whole area with a mixture of Perfect Pearls Biscotti and water using a tooth brush to do the splatter.
I stamped the image then instead of changing the stamp on my Misti I reversed the paper and it worked perfectly.
I coloured the image with copic markers (more information on my blog re getting the right colour mixes)
I heat embossed the greeting and fussy cut around the image and greeting.
I mounted all of this on some craft foam using PVA glue then attached this to my background having first matted the background to first some Sweet Sugarplum card stock then the base of the card of Wild Wasabi also using PVA glue to mount the image to the background and double-sided tape for everything else.
Once all of this was done I added an insert to the inside of the card of a strip of the wash with some X-Press It blending paper creating an area to write then mounted this onto some Sweet Sugarplum.
Last but not least I added the sequins and some glossy accents to the stamen in the centre of the flowerÂ…Â…and thatÂ’s all folks, why not come and play with these lovely colours.
Cheers Marg.
