Pretty straightforward layering of panels (after inking the edges) per the sketch I followed. I die cut the hills and clouds (out of white glitter paper) & sentiment, stamped the kite on the card for placement then stamped it on scrap & cut it out to pop it up on the card. It was a little tricky layering the hills but I think it turned out OK. I added clear Wink of Stella to the Happy - the word Birthday will go inside the card. I'm pretty sure I chose these colors for a color challenge but now I can't find my notes on which one! Challenges I did enter: trystampinontuesday.blogspot.com (sketch 323 with the optional theme of Pretty As A Picture, and this is, don't you think?) and btfchallenges.blogspot.com (47A, Favorite Thing About Summer.) TFL!

What a clever way to use the diagonal element in the Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch, Carol! I'm going to keep the layered "grass" idea in mind for cards I make that need such a clever element! Thanks for sharing with us on this week's challenge at TSOT! -Donna
What a fun scene you've created on your card! And the sentiment is just perfect...it makes me happy because it makes me think of fun summer days! Thanks for sharing with us at Try Stampin' or Not on Tuesday.
