This LO is part of the May monthly VSBN Scrapbooking Challenge. I again scrap lifted another of Lela's LO's.....slack I know, but her LO's are beautiful and I needed some inspiration and quick before May is over.
My photos aren't that great and were taken on our son's 18th birthday morning when family and friends gathered for his cake. For some reason the only photos we got were of him opening his cards and a couple of group photos. I think him getting out of bed late in the day and then rushing out to celebrate with friends may have had something to do with it LOL. Oh to be 18 again!
As I didn't have stitched papers, I stamped stitches across the top of my paper. The banners were cut out of some free papers that had been sitting in my stash for many years..I knew those papers would come in handy one day Twine added to them and also the balloons and some fun embellishments cut out of the papers. I wanted the LO to be bright as well as having a fun and quirky edge to it.
TH stickers and some journalling added on the balloons and done. The LO is quite sparkly as I added stickles in lots of places but the photo doesn't show the shine.
Thank you for taking time to look at my LO. Happy day

Her LO really worked for your photos, didn't it? Great Scraplift, Jayne.
I like all the banners and balloons, and cute little hats, even one on the photo! The title is perfect, too. I always have trouble thinking of titles! . And doing one white page and one blue, really makes everything pop. Thank you for playing May's
Scraplift Challenge again!

Oh how sweet! You did the scraplift perfectly, even with balloons! Very attractive two pager, love the contract of the two base papers, adds tension and interest. Nice that you matted each side accordingly too.

Great scraplift! Love the contrast created by changing one of the page backgrounds to a dark blue, and the balloons and presents are such nice accents.
