I stamped the deer in Vintage Photo ink onto the watercolor paper, using the Mini-MISTI (love this tool!). Then I (sort-of) watercolored them, using the VP distress ink & a paintbrush, pulling some of the ink from the outlines of the deer image. Masked the deer & then stamped the Douglas Fir randomly around the deer several times, using Iced Spruce, Bundled Sage, & Forest Moss distress inks. I went over the trees lightly with a wet paintbrush, to soften the detail from the stamped images.
I mixed pearl paint with the texture paste, and dabbed it here & there on some of the pine trees to try to create the image of snow on the branches. (The photo doesn't show it well, but the pearl paint adds some "glisten" to the texture paste. Looks better IRL!) Also dabbed some at the feet of the deer to look like they are standing in some snow. I used Wink of Stella on the trees to add some glisten to them.
Used the Mini-MISTI to stamp "Peace on Earth" from the Glory to God set in Chocolate Chip in the upper right corner. Layered the finished scene on some dark green paper, and then adhered to a lighter green card base.
I wanted to keep this simple, so I refrained from adding any bling or any more glitter! :-) TFL!
