TLC637 technique was to make a Dutch fold card. This was fun and new to me.
After following the tutorial to make the card base, I sponged distress ink onto watercolor paper and sprinkled with water. I die cut the umbrella and handle and placed on the floral frame to hint at what was inside. I fussy cut the cute little duck to go with the rainy front. Inside, I colored the floral stamp with various shades from the subtle color family and stamped it along the bottom because we all know, April showers bring May flowers!
Thanks for looking!

Love that striped umbrella and the little duckie seems to be enjoying the rain. Very nice dutch fold card and I love all the sweet flowers popping up from the April showers.

Oh, now that is a GREAT use of the format. And inspiring to me, because it will be a really good way of using some of my little DeNami chicks. Fabulous sponged sky.

Your water splattered bg creates the feeling of a very wet and rainy day. The bright stripes on the umbrella and adorable little duck make this into a bright summer shower instead of a depressing winter downpour.
