Today's Color Challenge is all about five retiring colors. I hope SU comes up with an equivalent because these are lovely shades. For my Distress ink alternatives I used mowed lawn, tumbled glass, festive berries and worn lipstick together, wild honey, and frayed burlap. The multimedia paper was prepared with white Gesso, and then more was applied through a brick stencil and left to dry. I worked on my second card till it was ready.
The blue and green were blended at the top, and wild honey was blended on the bricks. Then I used the mini frayed burlap and went across the brick just using pad to paper. Spread some honey around the edges and then more burlap. The die cut flowers were painted with the two shades of pinkish coral and their stems with mowed lawn and more burlap. Twine was wrapped around the card and also used to hang the charm. I love multimedia cards! TFL
