The term Dutch door fold immediately brought to mind 2 things - Delft pottery & fields of tulips So I used those as my inspiration today. I cut my cardbase from the cerulean stock cutting off the top half of the card front to form the Dutch door. in keeping with the delft look I stamped the brush stroke tulips in blue on white for the bottom panel. I decided a field of tulips needed a sky so I used chalk applied with a cotton ball to form a bg of clouds - hard to see in the pic but great IRL.
I found a small scrap of dp with tiny blue stars and used this for my SU tulips. I decided to color these with prisma pencils for a focal pop of color then die cut with a scalloped oval and framed with a larger oval cut from the scrap of cerulean.
My sentiment is stamped in the clouds & hidden by the tulip medallion.

I love those tulips on the dutch door, and the panel is just beautiful!! Wonderful card, Linda. And wasn't it fun to combine the challenges today?!

Yes, my mind went to trying to use Dutch things too - but I have nothing other than tulips (which is a shame, I'd love to make a bon voyage card for my sister, trying Amsterdam shortly as a break from her usual trip to Paris). The blue is certainly so perfect, as of course are the tulips. And I love the way you stamped the main tulip image on the starry paper. The cloudy sky is fab, too.
Love the blue tulips mimicking Delft pottery - you clever girl! The yellow tulips on your "door" and the sky background (yes, I can see it!) are colored fabulously!
