Well, I braved posting my first ZIG colored card. I finally colored in my charts that I downloaded from Dina's blog, and they are wonderful. It really helped to see the colors on watercolor paper. I am working slowly on this new color medium, and it's so different from Copic markers...ha! But it was fun, and I even did a very light color wash around it. I ended up just adding a Soft Sky mat and calling it quits. I really wanted to add some splatter or pearls...or even Nuvo drops. But I stopped! Yay for me! I did struggle with the coloring and don't think my shading is the best, but practice will hopefully help with that using the ZIG markers. But I do love them. So this is CAS for me, and I hope to do more CAS. It sure helps making more cards...and sending them! Isn't that one of the big reasons we started making cards?
Thanks so much for taking a closer look, and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! We are having beautiful weather today after a heavy downfall yesterday (which we desperately needed). Hugs! xoxo

Wow, Cheryl, what amazing colouring! I'm looking at it thinking it looks like about three layers of petals all popped up and yet I think it's flat and it's just the amazing shading and depth you can achieve.

Cheryl, your work with the Zig watercolor markers is BEAUTIFUL! I'd say that you had a very short learning curve. The coloring of the image is exquisitely done....another outstanding card.

Beautiful, Cheryl!! You will love the zigs because of their ease, but I find that I don't have nearly the control I have with other mediums. So when I use them I just have to let go of that and be surprised with however it turns out!!! (which is usually good!) Great job on the bg wash too -faved!

Beautiful work with those ZIG markers, Cheryl, and wonderful shading, too. I haven't tried the ZIG markers yet but you are making me want to do that. Glad you got rain. It was a beautiful and sunny day here but the wind seemed to be blowing a thousand miles an hour. Ha Truly, it was maddening. Have a great weekend.

This is beautiful Cheryl! The colors are fabulous. I love your light watercolor around the flower. I have been wanting some zig markers so it's really inspiring to see them in action! Why does my birthday have to be so far away?! LOL

I don't think there is a medium you aren't fantastic at, Cheryl. I once told Susie, and this goes for you too, you could have a stick, cardstock, and a bucket of mud (I might have said poop) and you would still create a masterpiece. The flower just glows...what a pretty shade of pink.
