A big Congrats to Kandie, the newest Featured Stamper! She has a wonderful little gallery & I chose THIS to case. I kept the tree & birds & most of the layout, but I used different images, different colors & made my a thank you/sympathy card.
I masked off the die cut blue/grey panel & stamped the Woodgrain Bg across the top 2/3 w/ the weathered wood ink & added just a little gray in between areas. The greeting was stamped below in the majestic blue ink then I added the die cut tree & birds & a dividing strip w/ a little Candi dot.
Congrats again, Kandie ! Thanks so much for looking. Closeups & the inside are on my blog:The Write Stuff

What a lovely take on my card. The monochromatic color tone is gentle and soothing, and I like the way the tree branches overlap the strip a bit. Thanks so much for playing.

Love, love, love the monochromatic colors and the clever way you added the strip under the branch. It's those little details that make a card extra special.
