As soon as I saw this color challenge, I knew I wanted to watercolor with all of these shades. The initial background color was applied using my #foolproofwatercolor technique, which is basically applying inks with a wet baby wipe. Then I embossed the flower with Gold embossing powder. I didn't worry too much about staying in the lines when I painted it, just let the color flow where it wanted to go. I cut the word using a die from Sunshine Wishes. 4 layers of watercolor paper, one layer of Old Olive. I colored the Old Olive layer with Clear Wink of Stella. Before layering the card layers, I used my wet brush to soften the edges of the top layer and ran the edge of my scissors along it to distress that layer.

Wow...two techniques in one card??? Nice! I haven't tried either of these. Will definitely check into the baby wipe watercolor technique. It was the perfect way to tie all of these colors together. The gold embossing over it is really just gorgeous!
