Kelly gave us the theme of "superheros" for the month of April. I was trying to decide what to do...then it came to me when a friend contacted us about helping her with a project.
We have helped her with several projects over the years. That's when I decided that my "superhero" is my DH. He doesn't think anything of helping someone with a problem or project that needs his attention. When he gets a phone call....he will work their project in our schedule. Yep....getting the "bat signal"!
The perfect set was the houses from the Holiday Home set. I decided to give them some personality by adding shading to the gray paper. After fussy cutting those houses....I needed to figure out the bat signal. I used a piece of wax paper in an embossing folder of Tim Holtz's. It has several rays that come off of it....don't remember the name. Once I cut that out....it was easy to find a circle punch to fit the ray. I then had to come up with a bat. Once again I thought of a punch. I noticed the Martha Stewart Halloween bat border punch in my punch drawer. The bat was the perfect size for the circle. After that it all came together quickly!
Thanks Kelly for the challenge!
Thanks for taking a look!
