Sabrina's challenge is all about tea. Used tea for the bg. It is also for the month's sketch challenge at Power Poppy. http://powerpoppy.blogspot.com/2017/...hat-spark.html
Using this new digi...painted with the water color paints. Added the tea for the bg, and did shade it darker with paint. Added gold dots, and with my pen and nib added flourishes and dots. Last June our Botanical Garden had a Peony show....lovely array of this beautiful flower. This flower has evolved through the years....one of the first flowers that was planted from my grandmother in my garden at the farm. I have the fushia, pink and white from her. To me they are the heirloom variety. When we moved they came with me. Expanded the garden with a Chinese peony, and one from the botanicial garden...it's orange with yellow hues. Hoping it will blossom this year. TFL

Linda, as always your colouring skills are simply amazing - and the tea background gives such a lovely soft vintage look to that tree peony bloom, and I love the added flourishes behind it. I remember how proud my mother was the first year her tree peony bloomed. I hope that your peony from the Botanical Gardens blooms for you this year.

Oh, Linda, this is exquisite - I expect nothing less from you too - hehe! Truly, the tea for the background adds such a rich, vintage effect, and I love the flourishes you've added! Stunning card, and what a joy to read about your garden of peonies and other flowers...I'm sure. Hugs! xoxo

What a beauty. Your cards are always lovely with such details. I can imagine a lovely flower garden on your farm. I miss my Rose and lavender garden I had to leave behind in the last move. It seems to be too cold to grow here. I may visit your garden one day.

My Uncle's farm had a long row of peonies down the drive when I was a kid. Gone now alas! Your colouring is gorgeous! I love your warm fanciful background. Beautiful card Linda!
