This is my card for CC631. Barbara is our hostess and she chose Bermuda bay, real red, crumb cake and black for her colors. Dessert is travel.
My card is using some new dies from CottageCutz. The choo choo train die is part of the new baby release but I decided to use it another way. I created an outdoor scene to place the train in.
I started by sponging the sky with Bermuda bay ink. I took a post-it note and tore it for my mountains and then sponged those with choc chip ink (another neutral for me). I sponged a bit more Bermuda bay then crumb cake and some tea dye distress ink.
My train is cut in the challenge colors plus I used another neutral of basic gray and smoky slate. I stamped my sentiment to complete this card.
More photos and info on the sponging technique at this blog post.
Hope you can play along with us this week. We have some great colors to work with.

Ah, Mary! How adorable! I love the train, and the sentiment is perfect to go along with it. A great travel theme and encouraging message, all in one! Love the mountains, too!

LOTS of paper piecing in the little train....but done beautifully and it is most effective. I like how yoiu did the mountains....only doing the crests and the rest left to our imagination so that the train is highlighted.
