Barbara is our hostess this week and she has chosen real red, bermuda bay, crumb cake, basic black and for dessert: traveling. I used the theme traveling in a metaphorical sense - in terms of our personal journeys - how's that for deep, ha, ha!!! This also fits our CAS challenge for dimensionals and "raising elements up"!
Die cut a stitched frame from kraft and then used a smaller white panel to create the bg...masking the horizon and the moon, then swiping the ink pad across the lower half for the ocean, sponging the top half (with the mask in place for the moon). Stamped the sentiment, and sponged some white pigment ink for the reflection of the moon with a bit of added detailing with a white marker. Die cut the "sand", sponged and stamped a texture stamp for added interest. Stamped and die cut the lighthouse, die cut and sponged the gulls and the pier logs. Assembled with dimensional tape to create a 3D scene - so happy with how this one turned out!!

Wow, Maura! I love your nautical card! You did a remarkable job on the moon and water! The panel representing the sand is gorgeous, and I love the sentiment on the moon!! As usual, my friend, your art is awesome!
Goodness, it's so easy to forget this sentiment is so true and would make our life less stressful if we really rested in it! I love your sand and beautiful lighthouse! Your water is gorgeous! Such a fun card!
