I love today's color combination and already had decided to do a snake for my entry on the Fall in Genesis 3. When my kiddos were little and I was trying to get to the bottom of a situation the kids would almost always start by saying, "She, He, They" but rarely ever, "I." I would say to them, I don't want to hear "It was the snake!" God wants my confession not my excuses. I am journaling through the Bible with my teenage DD....makes my heart so happy! I found a snake coloring page to copy from Shutterstock and penciled that onto my margin. I went over in fine Micron pen, brown for the tree and black for the snake. I used brown pencils to color the tree. I used clear Gesso at this point before painting. I took my craft mat and scribbled with markers then dipped my paintbrush in water to color. When the painting was dry I used markers to darken some areas. I used the diluted blues for the sky and also spattered some blue around. I used Sahara Sand around the edges to create a little shading.
