I recently picked up several of Lawn Fawn's new ink cubes. I wet a scrap of Bazzill Diamond Bling cardstock then used the ink cubes and a water pen to scribble out a rainbow of colors - mostly to see it it would work on this coated cardstock. (My first attempt, on watercolor paper was really nasty!)
Stamped the sentiment in black Versafine ink. Used an MFT In & Out Rectangle dienamic to cut out my sentiment panel. Cut a second rectangle out of a Bazzill panel, cut slightly smaller than card base. Inlaid my watercolored die cut.
I thought it made sense to use the black and white panda and leave him uncolored to make my sentiment the color star. Stamped him once and die cut. Die cut a blank to add dimension.
Assembled card and added some PPP star sequins (I'm lovin' these babies!). I felt like it still needed a little "finishing touch" so I used the In & Out Rectangle dienamic to make a thin white border for my sentiment. Since the bear was already firmly attached, I just faked it, cutting the border where it met the bear. WAY better solution than starting all over again.
Am also entering this into this week's CAS challenge - April Showers - as I did include a few stamped drops on the focal image (and there was also that whole watercolor thing...LOL!). I added some glossy accents to them to make them look a bit more water like.
ETA: Also entering in the CAS Mix Up Card Challenge to use inlaid die cutting, stamping and one more. My one more is watercoloring.
This is another one for the church shut-in stash.
TFL!

This is adorable. I love the rainbow of colours ... perfect with the sentiment. Great save on the framing around the panda. We'd never know if you hadn't told us. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up! xx

Beautiful CAS design. Love the rainbow panel. To get a rainbow, you have to have the April Showers. Love the cute raindrops. What an adorable panda. Nicely done. TFS
