Hello, sweet friends! My eyes are healing now (still not quite there yet...but doing well), and I finally made a card after well over six weeks...far too long! I missed coloring. But I was able to color up the newest Power Poppy digital image, and I enjoyed it a lot. Not my best work, but it's a start after so long. I pulled in the main Hyacinth Bulb in Glass image and also used a sentiment from Sweet Simple Things...and resized them to fit an A2 card. After coloring, I decided to use the scalloped die from one of My Favorite Things Blueprints die sets, and I added some paper piercing. I also colored in the background with a pale yellow, and I added some nail-heads that Nancy Stislow (aka stiz2003) put me onto (thanks, Nancy!). Finally, I added some Wink of Stella for some glimmer. I was fascinated when I researched this flower. I guess I'm a flower-dummy, because my DH and I were intrigued when I saw all the wonderful glass pieces that are available for these bulbs. So now we are going to get some to try. Cool, eh?
So, sweet friends, thank you so much for taking a closer look at my card, and I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week! You are so special to me, and I've missed you all a lot. And I hope it won't be as long till I upload another card.
