This card was an interesting lesson learned. I posted on the chat thread with photos if you want to see what happened. I did this card in two parts, doing the shaving cream background a couple of days ago and then putting it all together.
The combined time was 55 minutes with 30 minutes being spent on the background.
The problem was that all I had was alcohol inks and they didn't take to the gloss paper however it worked perfectly with the blending paper that I use for my copic blending.
Really happy with the result and the card smells delightful.
I only had a couple of sets of acrylic stamps that I purchased here in Melbourne and they don't stamp well with the distress inks so I went over the birthday greeting with silver Wink of Stella and in the process it added a little glitter.....always a good thing.

Marg, your bg is a lovely swirl of color. Your description on the main thread was so interesting. I thought I was in the same boat with the alcohol inks, then discovered an old box of dye reinkers.

Marg, I am so happy you were able to complete this challenge! Your background is so vibrant! I love the stamps you chose, and you are right. A touch of shimmer is always a good thing!
Thanks for playing along with my challenge!
