The theme for this month's Teapot Tuesday exchange (aka Tickle a Teapotter) is we're having a slumber party. I had mostly sleepovers with two sisters who lived in the neighborhood rather than slumber parties per se. We liked to listen to music, and one of the sisters had one of those little portable record players self-contained in a tiny suitcase she could bring if we were staying at my house. That's the inspiration for this card.
The record player is something i found on a web search, sentiment is computer generated, and the records are built from dies and punches.

Sandy, this is so cute and so much fun! Great job on the records and I love how you coordinated them with the pp. I remember those record players, I had one too. Music is a must at a slumber party.

This sure brings back a lot of memories...I think my sister had a record player just like this. And I remember all the 45s we had. I liked how you said that you could place the needle just where you wanted it..that's an art! What a cute and colorful card! And since you're bringing the music we'll have someone else fix hair ;)

Tooooooooooo darn cute, is funny as grandkids were over few days ago and we were looking for something in the cellar and they said grandma what is this---was my record player from many years ago and have one also like in your picture on card so I told them what was and showed them my records all sizes and of course they saw my old big bulky tapes and the player for them to---were in awe of such things compared to now-a-days.
Love your die cut records --as matter of fact whole card---great idea and neat card for sure.

Sandy, this is so cool! I used to envy those little portable record players. I got DH one that looks like a little suitcase for Christmas. I suggested it, because he still listens to vinyl, and he said no. And then he went out shopping to get me a Christmas tree and came back with the player to put under it from me to him . The spotted background paper goes so well with those 45s.
