While spending some time browsing on Pinterest, I came across these awesome magic boxes and knew I wanted to make one. Since I couldn't find a tutorial on how to put it all together, I did my best to figure it out from the pictures. I decided to make one with floating flowers. I used my pansy punch to make them. After doing all the floating flowers, I found out they weren't going to stay attached to the acetate, so I ended up using some tape to hold them. I don't like the way it looks, but I'm hoping the recipient will be so awed, they won't notice.
I wanted the flatter flowers to match, but didn't have any punches in other sizes that were like the pansy punch. I used some similar punches and then used my scissors to reshape the petals for a better match. The leaves were in my stash. The large flowers are raised on a double thickness of foam tape. I thought about adding butterflies, but the inside is so crowded, I almost couldn't get the cover on. Other than the tape, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Wow.. this is just beyond breathtaking!! It might have been lots of work, but it is just beautiful. I love those colors.. and the flowers... all of them... are just lovely. Beautiful work... that would make a sweet centerpiece for a special occasion table!
I definitely agree with Ms Jennifer. This is beyond breath taking. You know it almost looks tropical and closet to something Hawaiian!!
