Maura is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us a combo that turned out to be both beautiful and easy for me! The colors are Marina Mist, Crushed Curry and Wild Wasabi. The dessert option is to be bold. I decided to be bold in a "different" way: I challenged myself to use a sketch for my card.
So here's the thing! One of our team members is a wizard when it comes to transforming a sketch into a beautiful card (Hi, Mary!). That is something I find very difficult to do! I looked at last week's sketch challenge, and said, "No Way!" But then I looked at all the beautiful cards in the gallery. Wow! What creativity!
I am giving myself a huge helping of dessert as a reward for this card, which I think turned out pretty cute and is fairly true to the sketch.
And in addition, I played with my new Distress Oxide inks again this week, and am so pleased with the panel behind my little girl.
I cut out the figure with my Silhouette Portrait. I think everything else is pretty self-explanatory!
Thanks for stopping by this week, and please play along with us!

well a big congrats on trying a sketch to create your card-you created such a pretty card - and thanks for the sweet compliment- your background looks great as does the coloring on that little PI cutie!

Love, love love this! Your use of these colors and the sketch is just outstanding! And that little PI image is one I've not seen and it's adorable (coming from a true bookworm!). I love her paper-pieced shirt. This card gets an A+ from me : )
